Moved to Tears
Ended up being moved to tears when I read the last paragraph of the book “Désert d’amour”. I thought about the relationship between me and my son. I have to say Mauriac is a tough writer of emotional depiction.

Rigify twisted legs
I tried to model the leg of my tiny goose and rig it with customized bones, but after several times trying, I always got a deformed shape on leg movement. Those legs twisted badly with simple rotations and movements.
It nagged me the whole yesterday, and I started to doubt myself again. I tried one more time with the given armature of the bird, after removing useless bones, I found it was perfectly rigged.
Cannot connect chain
In the middle of removing bones, the ‘Cannot connect chain’ error repeatedly occurred, thankfully I found this chill guy describing it very detailed. I can keep on creating my tiny world.
Video for old EV
My father-in-law messaged me last week that the DVD player he bought couldn’t play any videos on his memory cards. He asked for a return and denounced the shop owner for cheating on the product’s function. From the first sight of the picture he posted to me, this was not an easy plug-and-play device out-of-order problem. He has two memory cards, an SD card, and a Sony memory stick. My intuition told me Sony wouldn’t let this work flunetly. So I decided to buy a DVD player on my own and asked him to send the cards to me. I will handle everything and provide a complete solution for him. Sony is notorious for bad digital format compatibility.
To pick the videos out of Sony’s AVCHD video files, I need an old styled App called ‘MakeMKV’, a big thanks to this guy
All in all, I need to :
1 Export videos from AVCHD package to mkv videos.
2 After reading the DVD player’s manual, it turned out that the format it supports is MPEG2.
3 Convert it with an old version of “MacX Video Converter”, and choose ‘DVD mpeg2’ as the output format.
Again, it’s an arduous problem for an old man like my father-in-law, they are abandoned by the rampaging world. Would that be my twilight years?
